A Bit about Tricia Thornton

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Tricia Thornton completed her B.S. in Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University before earning her M.A. in Counseling from Denver Seminary. She later completed her K–12 School Counselor certification at Vanderbilt University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and Certified Interpersonal Neurobiology Clinician (C-IPNB).

Tricia is the owner of Tricia Thornton Therapy, a private practice in Nashville, Tennessee, where she specializes in helping children, adolescents, adults, and families build healthier relationships through emotional safety, authentic connection, and practical neuroscience-informed strategies. She is also an Amazon bestselling author, speaker, and parent coach passionate about equipping parents with tools to strengthen connection and foster emotional resilience.

When she isn't counseling, writing, or speaking, Tricia enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their white German Shepherd.
